How do I prepare artwork ?

What is your delivery time ?
Assuming there are no problems with supplied files, from our receipt of your order & payment standard delivery is 14 working days for Litho printed cards, and 5 working days for Digitally printed cards.

What is the difference between digital and litho cards ?
Litho cards are printed on heavier stock: Litho on 400gsm, digital on 350gsm. It is generally considered that the quality of Litho printing is better than digital. So if you are looking for a premium piece of print, and have 14 working days, Litho is best. If however you are in a rush, digital is quicker, though on thinner stock and does not print quite as good as litho. If in doubt, we suggest you order a sample pack.

Is what you do environmentally friendly ?
Whilst we tend not to use recycled papers, this is in fact an environmental decision. All our papers are from sustainable sources, this is often far better than using recycled paper since the chemicals used during the recycling process are very harmful.

Do I have to have the giraffecards logo on my card ?
A6, A5 and DL do as standard come with the credit, printed in 5pt type, however there is an option to ‘upgrade’ and remove our credit. We include the credit to promote the benefits of giraffecards.com to a wider audience, though we understand that for some giraffecards.com clients a credit free system is more appropriate.
Please note that business cards DO NOT have the credit.

Can you colour correct / colour match my image ?
No, if you supply the artwork on disk we print the file as it is. We can not, for example, match a file to the colour of a supplied print. If you supply something for us to scan we print according to this scan, therefore the better the quality the item we scan, the better the final result will be.

Can one order be split to have many images ?
No, for example, if you order 500 A6 postcards, all 500 need to be the same. If you want 5 x 100, you will need to order 5 x 100 postcards.

I work on a PC, can you accept my files ?
Yes, we can accept the majority of file formats, either PC or Mac.

Can the reverse of the card be written on ?
Giraffecards are meant primarily as a printed promotional card, so we do not recommend them for use with fountain pens. All biro style pens work perfectly well with our cards.

Can I visit your office ?
Whilst we do like to be friendly, we are not set up to be a walk in office. One of the ways we manage to keep our prices low and quality so high is to run a very efficient business, where the website does much of the work...thereby offering saving back to our customers.
